Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information JDL Inventures, the company behind Arkis ("Arkis", "we", "us"), collects through arkis.io ("the Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain language.

Information you give us

When you use our AI scoping assistant or contact us, you choose to share information with us. That typically includes:

  • Your name and email address, which the scoping assistant asks for so we can send you your analysis;
  • Whatever you type into the conversation — for example, details about your business, your goals, and the numbers you share so the assistant can estimate impact;
  • Anything you send us directly, such as an email or a booking request.

Information we collect automatically

Like most websites, we collect some technical information automatically when you visit:

  • Standard log and device data (such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring page), used to keep the Site secure and understand how it's used;
  • Analytics data via Google Analytics, which uses cookies or similar technologies to measure traffic and usage in aggregate.

Your light/dark theme choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) for your convenience — it isn't sent to us and isn't used to track you.

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide the scoping analysis you asked for and, where you gave us your email, send it to you;
  • Respond to your inquiry and follow up about whether and how we might work together;
  • Operate, secure, and improve the Site;
  • Send you our newsletter if you received a brief from us (see below), until you unsubscribe.

How the scoping assistant handles your conversation

To generate your analysis, the text of your conversation is processed by our workflow-automation system and by a third-party AI provider (currently Google's Gemini models, accessed via OpenRouter). We store the conversation and the structured summary we derive from it in our customer-relationship tools so we can follow up. We don't use your conversation to train public AI models.

Who we share information with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Site and our business, and only as needed for them to do so. These include:

  • Cloudflare — website hosting and security;
  • Google — analytics, and the AI models that power the scoping assistant (accessed via OpenRouter);
  • Resend — sending you email, such as your brief;
  • TidyCal — scheduling calls you choose to book;
  • Slack and our internal CRM — so our team is notified of, and can follow up on, your inquiry.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Email and the newsletter

If you complete a scoping conversation and we email you a brief, we also add you to the Arkis newsletter — which we disclose in that email. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time; it won't affect anything else.

Data retention

We keep the information we collect for as long as needed to follow up on your inquiry, run our business, and meet legal or record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see "Your choices and rights").

Your choices and rights

You can:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy;
  • Ask us to correct or delete it;
  • Unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any message;
  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain uses.

To make a request, email [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR, the CCPA, or Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), and we'll honor those rights as they apply to you.

Data location and transfers

Our service providers are based primarily in the United States, so your information may be processed there. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for any international transfer.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. We'll change the "last updated" date above when we do.
